Love a Dove is a pigeon rehoming and matchmaking project dedicated to helping rescued pigeons find their perfect coo-panion — whether that’s a bonded pigeon friend, a loving human companion or the ideal aviary flock.
Working in collaboration with Little Green Pigeon, the National Pigeon Advocacy Association, and sanctuaries and rehabbers across the UK, Love a Dove helps connect pigeons in need with suitable homes and carefully matched companions. From ex-PMV pigeons and disabled birds to dramatic bachelors and bonded pairs, we believe every pigeon deserves the chance to be understood, and loved.
Meet Iris & Pav
Love a Dove is led by Iris, who grew up surrounded by her grandpa’s pigeons, so birds and aviaries have always been part of her world in one way or another. Over time, it developed into a genuine interest in pigeon care, rehabilitation and, somewhat unexpectedly, avian dating culture.
She’s joined by the Pigeon Assistant Princess Pavlova Peckington, a former wedding release dove who was rescued after contracting PMV. Since then, she has appointed herself head of matchmaking, maintaining the impeccable standards of all romantic arrangements.
Together, Iris and Princess Pav run Love a Dove to help every pigeon find love and give pigeons the recognition and appreciation they deserve as intelligent and affectionate coo-panions.
